Ruben was my lawyer for my divorce case. One of the biggest reasons I choose him was that he understood what I had been through and openly let me know my options while also sounding like he genuinely cared. Which alot of other lawyers didn't - for them it was just a job- and I was another client who's relationship has gone south. I appreciated Ruben for letting me know that he would support me and fight the case for me depending on what I was okay with. While very knowledgeable also condescending during initial intake, I was told not to waste my time with annulment despite my explaining why I’m not seeking divorce, was told I was being emotional and that I would mess up documents on my own, not knowing anything about my actual background A for knowledge F for handling of intake call do better

My previous attorney told me once: "You are a man in the Family Court of NYC - You're going to lose!" and for someone with no previous experience navigating the legal system, those words can be catastrophic.
