The EHG Law Firm got my traffic charge dismissed! I never lifted a finger or set foot in a courtroom. As it turns out, the police officer who charged me never should’ve. I could've easily been on the hook for a reportable offense and hundreds of dollars in fines, all because a cop was ticket-happy and didn't understand the law. My insurance could’ve increased, and I could've received points on my license, but the EHG team, armed with proficiency and professionalism, shielded me from that nightmare. They are the real deal. Ansley Sluss is an amazing lawyer. She was professional, knowledgeable attentive, and personable. She was also very empathetic to my situation. I am very grateful for Erin and the team's assistance! No one wants to need a lawyer, but when you need one - you might find it's difficult to find one that will listen. Erin listens and cares. I received a stack of traffic violations one day. All of them required a court appearance. Normally, I would probably just shrug and pay the fines. However, there were multiple well documented events demonstrating multiple failures from multiple government agencies. The various communication and operational breakdowns that occurred were most likely a result of institutional dysfunction caused by the pandemic. Additionally, the fines would be expensive. My insurance would go up and cost me more for years to come. Most importantly to me is the fact that I am a US citizen that married my foreign partner. We have been going through the USCIS immigration process for a prolonged period - also as a result of the pandemic. The immigration process is emotionally and financially challenging. It's even more difficult during a pandemic. Regardless, the last thing we needed was me to plead guilty to a misdemeanor. I was afraid of trying to navigate the process by myself, because a 12 month jail time sentence was technically a possibility - although, unlikely I think. Nevertheless, the situation was complicated and stressful. I tried contacting multiple attorneys. I was surprised at how difficult it was to get a consultation from other attorneys. From my experience, Erin was the most organized, most passionate, honest and intelligent lawyer I spoke with. I had a lot of negative emotions about the situation I was in.
