I called my sons Public Defender yesterday and spoke with his assistant who then let me leave a VM on his phone. Then I read the reviews for this office. I did not see any good reviews so I immediately began to pray. Mr. Michael Kelly returned my call in less than 24 hrs. To help me understand whats going on with my sons case. I left this review because I know that Public Defenders often get a bad wrap but my experience was positive. Thank you again Mr. Michael Kelly for your service.

This office is horrible for service to the client the lady and the man that answers the phone are rude and won't let you talk plus the lawyer acting like I'm irritating her just asking simple questions and never has an answer. For me and i feel like I'm not going to get a fair trial or be represented well because of the color of my skin and the level of my intelligence and the Da offered me 15 years for defending myself against my crack head cousin that didn't get charged for striking me first and I'm disabled what's wrong with this picture

Public Defenders have an ethical obligation to keep their caseloads manageable.If the public defender is not investigating the facts of his client case or communicating regularly and effectively with the client how in the world can he/she get a fair defense? And they don’t return calls their never available and the lady that answers the phone is very rude and unprofessional! I wish someone would investigate that place.

My son in in jail since last April of last year. He has only seen his public defender once in 10 months. Had a scheduling in may this year and now just heard it will be in August. No one will speak to me. I called the public defenders office and wanted to speak to Todd Martin's to discuss and was told by the women answring the phone that there was nothing I could do and no one I could speak to. My son amd his couselor in jail has wrote letters but no answer.This is so frustrating to know that if you do not have money they will punish you Before you even go to court. These attorneys are bound by law to provide adequate representation. But that is not what is happening. They ought to be ashamed of them self.
